About VioApps

VioApps is an independent collection of browser-based utility tools for small, concrete tasks: checking a calculation, converting a measurement, preparing a QR code, choosing a color value, or extracting text that would otherwise need to be retyped. The site brings these jobs together in one place so visitors can move from a question to a usable result without installing a dedicated app.

Who Operates This Site

viotools.com is owned and operated by VioApps, the trading name of an independent developer who builds and maintains every tool and guide on this site. VioTools is the name of this website; VioApps is the publisher behind it. VioApps also publishes the Textify image to text app for Android, which is promoted on some pages of this site as our own product.

All tools on viotools.com are free to use without an account. The site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense; ads are clearly separated from the tools and are not part of any result a tool produces.

What You Will Find Here

The collection includes everyday and scientific calculation tools, a graphing calculator, a unit converter, a time and date calculator, a color picker, a password generator, and QR code creation for URLs, text, email addresses, phone numbers, and WiFi details. The image-to-text tool is different from the other tools: it sends an uploaded image to an OCR service to return detected text.

Our Approach

A utility page is most useful when it explains both the input and the result. We aim to label controls plainly, show results in a form people can reuse, and add guidance where a result can be misunderstood. For example, a conversion needs its source and target units, a QR code needs enough contrast to scan, and OCR output should be checked against the original image.

How We Maintain the Site

  • We keep each tool description tied to what that page can actually do.
  • We update guides when a workflow benefits from context beyond the interface.
  • We correct unclear labels, examples, and instructions when visitors report a problem.
  • We treat calculator, conversion, and OCR output as a useful aid, not a substitute for checking information in high-stakes work.

Privacy

QR, calculator, color, password, date, graphing, and conversion tools run in the browser. Uploaded images are sent to the OCR service for text recognition; see the Privacy Policy for the data-handling details.

Accuracy

Tools show the result produced from the values and options entered. Review units, dates, and source material before relying on an output for financial, medical, legal, or other consequential decisions.

Guides and Explanations

The guides focus on questions that do not fit inside a control panel: how to make a QR code readable in print, how to improve OCR on a scan, and how to choose an appropriate workflow for a document. They are written to add context rather than repeat a tool's labels. Where a guide refers to a VioApps tool, it links to the relevant page so readers can apply the advice.
